1. Introduction
Medicare Tips LLC ("Medicare Tips," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website medicaretips.org (the "Site") to publish educational materials to help seniors and their adult children fully understand Medicare coverage options, how to maximize Medicare benefits, and how to avoid high out of pocket costs. We can connect you with licensed brokers and insurance companies that service your area. When you request to be connected with a broker or carrier, we may share the information you provide with licensed insurance agents, agencies, and Medicare plan carriers ("Partners") who may contact you about Medicare plans, Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans, Medicare Advantage plans, Prescription Drug Plans, and related insurance products.
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information. It applies to information collected through our Site, email, telephone, online chat, and any other interactions with us (collectively, the "Services").
This Policy does not apply to: information about our employees, contractors, or job applicants; information collected in business-to-business transactions; or protected health information ("PHI") subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ("HIPAA") that we may handle on behalf of Medicare plan carrier partners.

- De-identified or aggregated data: We may de-identify, anonymize, or aggregate personal information and use it for any lawful purpose.
4. Sharing Your Personal Information With Partners
As part of connecting you with licensed insurance professionals, we may disclose your personal information to our Partners. This may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under certain state privacy laws (see Section 12 below). Specifically:
- When you submit your information through our Site, your name, phone number, email address, zip code, and date of birth may be provided to one or more licensed insurance agents, agencies, or Medicare plan carriers who may be able to assist you.
- Partners may contact you by telephone (including autodialed and prerecorded calls), email, or text message to discuss Medicare plans and related insurance products.
- We may also share your information with advertising networks and analytics providers in ways that may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" under certain state privacy laws.
Your information may be shared with multiple Partners. You may receive contact from more than one insurance professional or company after submitting your information.
Once your information has been provided to a Partner, that Partner's own privacy policy governs their use of your information. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of Partners or other third parties.
5. Other Disclosures of Your Personal Information
In addition to our Partners, we may disclose your personal information to:

- With your consent: To any other party when you have directed or consented to such disclosure.
SMS/text message opt-in data and consent: We do not sell, share, or disclose your SMS/text message opt-in consent status or the phone number associated with such opt-in to any third party for purposes unrelated to delivering the messages you have consented to receive, except as required by law.
6. Consent, Opt-In, and Opt-Out
A. Email and SMS Opt-In
Our Site offers separate, optional opt-in checkboxes for email updates and SMS/text message updates. By checking the relevant box, you provide your prior express written consent to receive those communications. The following disclaimer is displayed at the point of opt-in:
"By checking the relevant box above, you agree to receive text messages and/or email updates from us and our partners. Message and data rates may apply. Messaging frequency varies. To opt out, reply STOP to any text message or click the unsubscribe link in email updates."
Consent checkboxes on our site are always presented unchecked by default. Email and SMS consent are provided through separate checkboxes, and you may choose to opt in to one, both, or neither.
B. How to Opt Out
- SMS/Text messages: Reply STOP to any text message you receive from us. We will process your opt-out request within 10 business days in accordance with FCC requirements.
- Email: Click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email. We will process your request within 10 business days.
- Phone calls: Tell the caller you wish to be placed on our internal Do-Not-Call list, or contact us using the form on the Contact Page. You may also register your number with the National Do-Not-Call Registry at donotcall.gov.
Please note: Opting out of marketing communications does not affect transactional or service-related messages (such as responses to your inquiries). After your information has been shared with a Partner, you must contact that party separately to opt out of their communications.
C. TCPA Disclosure
By submitting your phone number and checking the SMS opt-in box on our Site, you provide your prior express written consent, as defined under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (47 U.S.C. § 227) and FCC regulations, to receive autodialed and/or prerecorded telemarketing calls and text messages from Medicare Tips and its partners at the telephone number you provided. Consent is not required to use our educational resources or to be connected with a licensed insurance agent. You may revoke consent at any time by any reasonable means, including replying STOP to any text or submit a request using the Contact Page.
When you provide your telephone number to us, you represent that you are the current subscriber or customary user of that number and are authorized to provide consent for calls and texts to that number. You understand that your telephone number may have been previously assigned to another person, and you agree that any consent provided applies only to your current use of that number.
